Amco Product Authentication systems are based on two distinct technologies: taggant technology and detection technology. Our taggants are effective in many substrates, such as plastics, inks, adhesives, paper, composites, metal, film, etc. Our detectors are designed around specific applications and customer requirements. These turnkey systems enable the brand owner (OEM) to secretly tag products and packaging (bottles, caps,blister, varnish, paper, ink). Then authenticate products at retailers or distributors to determine if they are fake and aid in prosecuting counterfeiters.

No processing changes are typically needed after including taggants in thermoplastic materials. Most taggants can withstand processing temperatures consistent with many thermoplastics materials processing parameters and are able to withstand exposure to many chemicals, UV, adhesives and other outside influences. Taggants can be compounded into color concentrates or virgin materials and can be added to the machine during processing.
